In 2003, Dr CT Pillai founded Advanced Vision Care (AVC) on Harley Street, quickly establishing it as a leader in patient-focused vision correction
The clinic gained national recognition, including being named the UK’s top-rated provider for Laser Eye Surgery and Lens Replacement by Which? magazine in 2019. AVC became known for its pioneering work across a full range of refractive treatments. While also earning the trust of opticians nationwide through its commitment to co-management, collaboration, training, and patient care.
Following a period of ambitious growth, including the development of a state-of-the-art surgical theatre, AVC faced significant external challenges and closed in 2019. Despite these setbacks, Dr Pillai’s dedication to restoring vision never wavered, and he went on to become a highly regarded NHS consultant. With the continued support of patients, peers, and colleagues, he remained committed to rebuilding and advancing private refractive care.
In late 2023, Dr Pillai marked an exciting return to the private sector as Medical Director of Precision Vision London – a new, forward-thinking Harley Street clinic delivering the highest standards in refractive surgery.
As a pioneer in refractive surgery, Dr Pillai sought to build a non-laser surgical team with the expertise and results needed to manage high prescriptions and complex cases. Last year, the team was fully established, making our non-laser surgical capabilities just as strong as our laser services. The services we offer include:
